There’s a LOT of crochet star patterns out there, and several great free ones at that. Around a year ago now though I was embarking upon a project where I needed to create ‘under the sea’ themed knit or crochet items for an exhibition for the Adelaide Fringe. Called Knitting Nancy Dives In, the exhibit went really well, and garnered both excited local radio & newspaper coverage.
Inspired by two super cute friends who were also in the exhibition, one who wanted a star pattern to make a Christmas ornament for her daughter, and another who wanted to make a starfish for the exhibition, I decided to make up my own spin on the ‘star fish’ pattern.
The pattern is free and was previously shared on my personal blog and my livejournal. I thought I’d do a little update of it, and present it in a more print-friendly pdf format.
Its a fast little project, works up quick – who doesn’t ADORE instant gratification!? 😀 – so I hope you have fun with it and I’d LOVE to see your FOs.
