UNF! Just came across this really gorgeous blanket @ Sewing Daisies – a mix of sewn squares (Kaffe Fasset ‘charms’) and blanket stitch + crochet borders to connect them. SO SWEET!
I must make one of these, FOR GREAT JUSTICE! Just the thing to use up all of the myriad delicious fat quarters I pick up at random fairs and expos with ~FABULOUS INTENTIONS~ that end up just sitting together in little paper bags never reaching their full potential. Or any potential at all, really. Except for their bag-filling potential. They ROCK OUT at that.
Just one problem? I seem to be utterly addicted to starting crochet/knit blankets… And then taking six dog’s ages to complete them. Granted I’ve only got two on the go right now (a Hexagon How-To, and a Tiling Fish)… The saying IS three’s the charm, AMIRITE?!
Check out more gorgeous blanket-porn + some semi-instructional photos @ Sewing Daisies, in their Kaffe Fusion Completed! entry.
love it, tried it, cant get it to straighten out. my crocheting, while same size tend to have a lean to them, much like my handwriting.
This would be kinda slick w/hubby’s fave old t-shirts I can’t get him to throw out … like those quilts you see pictures of. 🙂
Thanks!
